Abstract: ［Purpose/Significance］Knowledge service is not only the core capability and important trend of libraries, but also the content and business direction of publishers. In the era of digital intelligence, it is strategically necessary to explore the differences and similarities between library knowledge service and publishing knowledge service for the purpose of their mutual influence, reference, support and confluence.［Design/Methodology］With the use of literature investigation, literature metrology, comparative analysis and other methods, domestic and foreign literatures were explored, analyzed, summarized and concluded. According to the actual development situation of knowledge service in the two fields, similarities and differences between library knowledge service and publishing knowledge service were explored from six aspects, which were research hotspots, transformation backgrounds, service subjects and objects, service modes, service contents and service products.［Findings/Conclusion］Library knowledge service has an early start, while publishing knowledge service has a rapid development. Either of them will be replaced by the other, and they will both constantly make innovation in knowledge service modes, strengthen their own advantages, and realize a win-win cooperation.［Originality/Value］With the use of bibliometric method, this paper analyzes the similarities, differences and trends of library knowledge service and publishing knowledge service. It also puts forward some thoughts and suggestions so as to accelerate the collaborative development of the two fields.
