Abstract:

This paper construct the index evaluation system for the comprehensive development of the urban library and use the factor analysis to extracte from the 29 indicators of library development to four common factor:library resources factors, reader’s service factor and so on. 35 urban library development indicators were ranked and is correlated with the 12 indicators of economic growth and social development. The results showed there are the significant positive correlation between them. At last, the paper put forward suggestions for improvement development level of urban Library.
