Abstract:

With thd increase of the number of social media users, social media becomes a platform for various organizations included government agencies to launch information publicize, image and deliver public service. Government microblog arises at the historic moment. With the development of government microblog, the domestic and foreign scholars start the study on government microblog in different fields. Based on systematic combing on the domestic and foreign relevant literatures, the concept of government microblog and government microblog matrix are discriminated. Then government microblog’s function, influence factors, roles and the research methods are discussed. Finally, according to the analysis above, the research limitations in the field of government microblog are summed up, including the lack of quantitative method, government microblog matrix, motivation in government microblog user and public service delivery through government microblog. All the above are directions for future research.
