Abstract:

The family instruction is a special kind of literature type written by the elders for their children’s education in ancient Chinese families. The transplantation research from the library and information science to the ancient rite and legal filed can be implemented by the word frequency statistics. Based on the quantitative research, we can find that the connotation of the traditional classical family instruction in China is to establish the family order: the interpersonal order developed from core family relationship, the life order based on the relationship among the family life, and the mind order rooted in the Confucian ethics.
