Abstract: ［Purpose/Significance］This paper aims to discuss the influencing factors of the equalization of public library services, and provide reference for the practice of the equalization of public library services.［Design/Methodology］This paper took the equalization level of public library services in 31 provinces (including municipalities and autonomous regions) in China from 2013 to 2017 as the research object, and tested the influencing factors of the equalization level of public library services by using the random effect model and the feasible generalized least square (FGLS) regression method.［Findings/Conclusion］Per capita GDP, population density, per capita consumption of entertainment and per capita financial transfer payment are significant positive impacts on the level of equalization of public library services. Urbanization rate and per capita local financial expenditure are significant negative impacts on the level of equalization of public library services. ［Originality/Value］By combining the measurement of the equalization level of public library services with the analysis of the influencing factors, this paper suggests to promote the standardization construction of public library services, and build a scientific responsibility sharing mechanism of central and local cultural expenditure so as to further improve the equalization level of public library services in China.
