Abstract: ［Purpose/Significance］This article discusses how disruptive technologies influence academic libraries and what countermeasures should be taken. It intends to provide a reference for the future development of academic libraries.
［Design/Methodology］Through theoretical analysis combined with specific cases, this paper explores the impact of the Second Machine Age and Education 4.0 on libraries. It also points out the missions and reforming directions of academic libraries.［Findings/Conclusion］While insisting on the essence, academic libraries must find ways to transform in space, collection, service and technology in order to make themselves more flexible, featured and intelligent. ［Originality/Value］This paper highlights the value of libraries to individual growth. It also explains the relationship between the instrumentality of technologies and the humanistic nature in the transformation of libraries.
